Weekend of 7/6/24 updates
I was able to go to the field and play all day in the extreme heat of SE GA. I had some updates to the kid with the Sabre and I helped a few first time players.
The Sabre kid was there. I recognized him but he had a gold and silver mini so I wasn't positive. After a few minutes I asked him how long he had the mini and he said a few weeks. He had gone and bought himself one! I did tell him I was looking for him to give him one but he was cool and understood. So I will try to find someone else that needs a gun to keep them playing.
I asked the owner how the camp went and he said it was great. They had a decent turnout. One kid got the mask I bought for them and the other one left it. I might end up picking it up if he doesn't come back and grab it. I'll find someone that need it for sure.
There were 2 kids that were playing. I saw them in the office getting setup and figured they were new to paintball. It was 2 boys and 2 mom's (I assumed). I waited until they got setup and I walked over and asked them if they were playing rec ball. They were so I said hold up and I walked over and gave the younger looking kid my Warrior Axe setup with Alpha Air tank and CTRL. He had a blast all day. The other kid was much bigger and taller so I gave him my Emek setup with IR2 and 68 tank. He had a great time too. At the end of the day he was in the chrono area shooting off the last of his paint. The mom's thanked me several times and they asked what it would cost to get a setup. If they reach out to me I will get the kids some Mini's or something. I also have masks so they might get some setups if I see them coming back.
I let another kid shoot my 170r for a game while I was eating lunch. Overall, it was a great day of paintball, despite the terrible heat. I sold the 170r at the end of the day. I wasn't planning on it but the guy offered me what I paid for it and I couldn't really turn it down. I really liked it and I might pick up another. It shot great and I liked the feel of it. It was my primary all day. I finished the day up with the ATeam LV2. But I don't need 5 guns right now. I know my buddy Alex was a little disappointed I sold it, but I will likely get another. It might be my favorite spool to shoot.
